Welcome to the first edition of our weekly newsletter! We’re excited to bring you even more updates and news about the gaming scene on the Central Coast. Our goal for this weekly newsletter is to deliver a consistent snapshot of the fast approaching events and Open Play Schedules for those daring enough to venture out and play in public games, as well as highlighting all the fantastic brick and mortar game stores that support our hobbies and act as leaders for our community.

Last Chance to submit games for the Spring MiniCon
San Luis Obispo, 1 Grand Ave Building 8
Three times a year a student club at Cal Poly organizes an all day game-day event which is open to the public. This year their Spring MiniCon is being held on May 20th, but the last day to submit an event is friday May 12th. If you’d like to submit an event click here.
Game Theory by PolyCon

Friday May 12th 5pm This is an open to the public game night put on by the non-profit student club at Cal Poly, and meet in BRAE (building 8) every Friday 5pm - 10pm. You don’t have to be a student or alumni, just show up. Parking is accessible from N. Perimeter Rd.
Infinity Game Demonstration at Gordon’s Good Games

Saturday May 13th 1pm Welcome to the World of Infinity! The most beautiful and tactical 1v1 miniatures game on the market! We will be running demo Code One games to teach new players how to play and full N4 games for existing players! Great for all skill levels!
Pokemon League at Prism CCG

Sunday May 14th 2:30pm Attention all Pokémon TCG enthusiasts! Prism CCG is excited to announce the launch of our new Pokémon TCG league, the Prism League! Join us every Saturday starting on May 14th, from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, for an afternoon of fun, competition, and community building. This is a weekly league where you can earn points to qualify for special events and prizes. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend! Bring your own deck and play against other trainers in the area.
Learn To Play Gaslands at Gordon’s Good Games

Sunday May 14th Learn to play Gaslands Refuelled! We'll be hosting demo games to teach the basics of how to drive, shoot, crash, and wipe out! Recommended for new players who are interested in joining the death race on Sat May 20.
Magic Training at Zander’s Game House

Tuesday May 16th 7pm Have you always wanted to learn to play Magic: The Gathering? We can help! Zander's is now offering training for beginning Magic players. Our first session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16th at 7:00pm. Want a seat at the table? Just let us know by texting your RSVP to Jeanne at 805-377-0324. $40 per person includes training and a Magic Starter Commander set. Come in and play!
